Create a "Rats" style map for any PC game!
Our beloved leader Tom loves playing rats style maps and we at GB would love to see more of these quirky maps making an appearance!

What is a "rats" style map?

A rats style map gives the illusion that the player has been shrunk down to the size of a rat (or smaller!), at this scale every day objects become part of the terrane! This fun style map opens up a huge range of possibilities and really allows the mapper to get creative with the situation, layout and potential hazards that might affect the player on a miniature scale!

You can check out a whole load of rats maps for CSS here!

Need ideas? Why not try:

- The classic bedroom, kitchen or bathroom?
- Outdoor environments such as gardens or parks?
- A map of the GameBanana office?
- Your desk?
- Or why not go even smaller and set your map inside a human body!

Want to spice your map up?

- Get creative with the design! Remember, rats can fit into unusual paces such as the cracks in your walls or beams on the roof.
- Every day objects become potential cover; mugs, beer bottles, telephones, shoes.. BUT every day objects also become potential hazards, what about your pet cat, mouse traps, falling from hights!
